| Sea of goats (and some sheep), dinner for Dasain, the Nepali New Year festival. The animals will pack themslves together as close as possible. The men and an occasional woman will wade into the mass, and lift up a promising one to test the weight. Next it is dragged out, by horns or ropes, and off to home. Price this year is around $100 for a goat, about $45 for a sheep. |
