[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Treking is usually extremely hard for me. Here we are up high in the Himalayas, it is hot in the day, the air is thin. I have great trouble breathing going up hill, downhill is easier of course. We are on a paved part of the great salt route from India to Tibet. I love Nepal, and it is worth every step to see all the climates and different ethnic groups we passed in just 6 days. In the right corner is the bane of my trip. Porters get 30-50 cents a day to carry stuff, $5 a day for Everest climbs. I am paying an agency $20 a day just to have a Sherpa carry less than 7 lbs of luggage, and guide me (I have no sense of direction). He is angry that I take pictures. He wanted to be done in 3 days. He bragged he gets $200 tips (from who?). Almost everyone falls in love with their Sherpa guides, (some literally), mine usually was out of site most of the day. Pick wisely. (He had annoyed me before we ever left, should have dumped him, hired a freind).

The composition is well done!
I like the backlight to brighten the diagonal paved road, leaving the two guys almost like silhouettes...
Pity you cut the third guy, I'd rather leave him out all together!
