Someone has something to sell, and everyone wants to look, maybe buy. The Hindu holy man just hangs around waiting for a handout, maybe an apple, he lives on handouts. The apples are the best I ever had, grown up high in the Himalayas, in Marpha. They are carried down the mountains for 5 days on foot. There is no real road, only the 2000 yr. old Salt route to travel on. The (ex)King's summer palace is behind the people, at the lake. Security used to not be an issue. Now a huge wall, machine guns and razor wire surround it.
