[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
After 1 week of walking around the Annapurna range (8091m),in central Nepal,we reached the Kali Gandaki gorge, right in between the Annapurna 1 and the Dhaulagiri(both more 8000m),the deepest in the world.
From here the mountain peaks are elevating 5500 to 6800m above the ground!
On the picture is Larjung,a small tibetan-style village
where we had some tea and a rest on that cold, windy januari morning in 1985.
The massive slopes of the 8167m Dhaulagiri are making us and the village extremely tiny....

Hi Jan,
Uitstekend beeld. Een uitzonderlijke landschap met zeer mooie details. En de verstrekte beschrijving is welkom.
U wilt een mooie zondag,
Adrian

Hoi Jan,
Dit zijn tenminste bergen! Wat een mooi panorama. De huizen op de voorgrond geven de majustueuze Himalaja. Voor een scan toch een hele scherpe plaat. Prachtig!
Hans

Hello Jan,

A breathtakingly magnificent place.
The composition is dictated by the relationship between the valley and the mountains, nicely presented in thirds!
I'm glad you included a little sky. It does show us the limit of the imposing mountains, whilst the inclusion of the village gives us an idea of the scale.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Jan,

I believe the place you took this shot is mountain sand? . . Yes, that village looks very small as compare to the whole sets of mountain . .
Beautifully composed . .

How are you my friend?

Tfs,
Tjutjut

Hallo Jan.

Bravo.
Bonne journée.
Urs

It's a wonderful place, Jan, I would like to see it right now - almost 25 years later - but I think it will look the same.
Thank you , very pretty

Hello Jan.
Is this a scan photo?
Great view presented. Very effective. Show us a scale of big mountains in Nepal compare to houses on the bottom.
Nice one.
Thanks for sharing.
Best Regards.

Hi Jan - nice view, but I feel that the mountains look a little 'chopped off'..

I'd certainly love to do the Everest Base Camp walk - maybe one day..

Cheers
DAvid
