| The King of Nepal has just taken from my hand, the flowers I brought him. I never believed I would actually be this close to the King! I had flowers in one hand, camera in the other. Security in plains clothes kept bumping my arm on purpose. The army said "not in front of him".....but I saw all the other tourists take them front veiw with no problem. He said nothing, just kept going down the line, accepting flowers, passing them to a soldier, then the soldier gives them to a man with a bag. The King walked 6-8 hours, meeting his people. Eventually, the Queen walked ahead of him, gathering flowers also. A man carried an average black umbrella over their heads. |

Nice one Gloria,
The low angle and intrusive close-up coupled with His Royal Majesty's somewhat dead-pan expression and the dark glasses, I think tell us much about his mood, attitude and perhaps, to some limited extent, his character. If you had posed him, even slightly, to take the picture you would have lost these telling signs. In a way the bodyguard did you a favour!
Best wishes
Bill
Does not look like a friendly or happy person but your POV was just right for the hurried shot this must have been, and perfect focus. TFS, Paul.
