Hi folks

This was taken last month during my visit to Islamabad. Had good time :)
I bought few filters which I kept testing time to time, they are good to use under different situations. Here the sky was fully covered with thick clouds which wasn't of any interest.

A little about Faisal Mosque :

The Faisal Mosque in Islamabad is the largest mosque in Pakistan and South Asia and the fourth largest mosque in the world.
The impetus for the mosque began in 1966 when the late King Faisal bin Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia supported the initiative of the Pakistani Government to build a national mosque in Islamabad during an official visit to Pakistan. In 1969, an international competition was held in which architects from 17 countries submitted 43 proposals. After four days of deliberation, Turkish architect Vedat Dalokay's design was chosen.
Faisal Mosque is the National Mosque of Pakistan. It has a covered area of 5,000 m2 (54,000 sq ft) and has a capacity to accommodate approximately 300,000 worshippers (100,000 in its main prayer hall, courtyard and porticoes and another 200,000 in its adjoining grounds).
Construction of the mosque began in 1976 by National Construction of Pakistan and was completed in 1986.

Tech:
Taken in Raw, processed in Capture NX2.1 and frame in PS CS3.

Thanks for viewing have a good day :)

Cheers
JZM

Hi JZM,
Awesome tones in the distant sky! You've placed the architecture very well within the frame, the details seem sharp and clear also. An excellent time of day to be taking photos, and it shows well here in this shot. Nicely taken.

TFS,
Scott.

Nice photo - good and sharp and nicely composed. Not so sure about the tobacco grad - but it does the job of bringing the light level of the sky into the more manageable range.

Bonjour Malik.
Très belle représentation de cette mosquée dans une architecture moderne.
La brise de vue en plongée est parfaite.
Un bon job.
Bonne soirée.

Hi Jahanzeib,
Nice overview over Islamabad, the building of this mosque is well presented. I like its off-centred positioning and the hill behind. Actually it could have been sharper and with less noise, but I'm sure the air was quite humid at the moment of exposure. TFS.
Greetings,
Kristof

Hi JZM.
I like the composition here. I also like the color of the sky, even if it is a bit strange ;-)
Wonderful architecture.

Salam Jahanzeib

A good high pov, overlooking the mosque, with the 4 minarets rising above the plain noticeably. I like the orange tinted, hazy bg. Tfs!

Dear Jahanzeib, hope you are doing good! This is wonderful taken shot. The soft tones of the picture are looking beautiful making the mosque looking incredible.Lovely details and sharpness.
Beautiful composition!!

Hope you have a day filled with colors of love and joy!
Cheers,
Shubhi:)

Very striking shot. Textbook composition and excellent use of filter to add colour and interest to that sky.

I'm not keen on titles-within-frames, it feels very old-fashioned, but that's a personal thing.

Beautiful work.
