This is another color of portulaca. The colors are very bright and saturated.I have never been comfortable to shoot such bright colors.I have tried to play with colors, contrast, lights and saturation also sharpen and resized to upload on TL.Yet i am looking forward for workshops and sincere critiques so that i am able to improve upon.I am dedicating this to some very good friend of mine.
This is the color of love from PAKISTAN

HI Muhammad
u have right is a little more over expose i have same problems sometime too
but besides this is a grate color with beautiful light and your effort was more than enough.
I ve made u a ws. this is how i thought it looks better
Have a grate day!

Oana

sir, here i would like to share a quote from sir Mamcg, he said many get fooled by metering red. but in my little openion and small experience you did well....and the WS by chendis looks perfect..TFS.
Regards,
Tahseen

Hi Muhammad,

I agree with your note and self-critique. It is extremely difficult to get the metering right with the conditions that are evident in this photo. I don’t think the difficulty is with the bright color of the flower, but more with the bright sunlight and relatively light background. Oana has done an excellent workshop for you. I think one of the goals is to darken the background, yet keep the highlights of the flower.

Overall this is still a good photo and makes for a nice dedication to your friend.

Regards,
Werner

dear Muhammad Tariq,
like the sun, burning red flower you took.
in my feeling, the back is a little too bright, if you make dark back for this flower, maybe you realize more shining red in the picture...
anyway wonderful red flower you present us.
thank you,
Akihisa

Hi Muhammad

I like the red against the brownish BG
it seems to work nicely, although maybe a bit darker
will also look good but overall it's a fine shot, with
adequate sharpness and lighting... I like the sentence
This is the color of love from PAKISTAN... and I
think it's a beautiful delicate dedication...

friendly greetings
suzy

hi..
red or yellow?
:)
nice red flower with yellow combination. It is really very tough to shoot in direct sunlight. In that case when u r shotting in direct sunlight u can create your own shade by using your own shadow or the shadow of someone else or by using an umbrella to block out the sun.
regards
kajari
