Hi folks

This one was shot while I and my brother traveled from Quetta to Rawal Pindi (Pakistan cities) back in the month of April. We planned to travel by-train to enjoy the journey and meet different people of different cities, well it was great and we had a great journey :)

It was about 01 pm when our train left from Lahore for Rawal pindi my brother was sitting in our compartment and was enjoying outside scenes, I spotted him and without disturbing took this one :)

I metered the window area so that I can get darker impact inside which was quite dark as compare to outside (obviously :)) I was happy with the result :)

It was shot in B&W and later in PP I thought to bring some more interest, so using another photo of this journey in new layer I applied it on the window region keeping balance in the light/darkness and grains. Well the result is here :)

I treated this one under Duotone to give some tint the original B&W is in the workshop.

Hope u’ll enjoy this

Thanks for viewing
Have a good day

Cheers
Jahanzeib

Bonjour Jahanzeib.
Superbe contraste foncé qui donne une bonne ambiance à cette image. Le noir et blanc est parfaitement adapté a ce type d’image,
Bon job, bravo.
Bonne journée.
Urs

Hi again friend

A strange and so special atmosphere here... Really fantastic like in a movie.
A decisive moment well captured.
Clever idea !

My compliments

An inventive and unusual shot. Your process to create interest in the window is excellent, the flow of light from the outside to the inside is good too.
The black and white treatment works well to keep attention focused on subject and the train journey, rather than distracted by greenery or landscape.
Good job

Hi Jahanzeib

Good use of a frame within a frame, & not easy to do on a train, so sharpness is pretty good considering. Excellent tonal range & mood. Tfs!

Congratulations Jahanzeib. I love this double scene and many layers. Superb timing for that regal tree is well framed. The b&w rendition is effective. Best regards...
Danilo

the duotone is perfect, suits to that fine light study in the wagon, and the outside lonely tree is amazingly ideal

Hello Jahanzeib,
A fascinating and somewhat surreal shot; really very imaginative to take and sparks the imagination to look at.
B&W and other treatments just add to the mood you set.
Very nice lighting and contrast control and excellent composition.
Thanks,
Wilt

Hi JZM,
Awesome shot, the tree really makes this photo in my opinion. Initially I was a bit hesitant about the grain, but the more I look at it, the more I like it. Gives the photo an 'old' feeling. You've composed your brother well too. Excellent work bro.

TFS,
Scott.

Brilliant picture Jahan, this is extremely difficult to do,first of al you are moving, second the bright backlight in your lens...

The compostion of the tree and the traveller with infalling light on his face, its a great mood.
This couldd be a good poster for Pakistan railways, thats for sure.

Hi KBE,
A great B&W that I came across accidentally while browsing through TL. Very interesting, to me it tells a story rather than just recording a place or someone. Wel done.
Sunil
