I agree, this is a great action shot. I just saw a very similar picture in a Digital Photo mag that won an award. Excellent timing with the finger. The DOF and sharpness is incredible. Very well done.

Great sense of speed and action Yasir. Looks like you lost a few details in the blacks but it's very hard to keep detail in an image that has both black and white. It's still a pleasure to view this one.

Wow - excellent action shot. You've done a superb job, key to it is the fast shutter-speed, but your aperture and focal length have created a shallow depth-of-field that really enhances it.

Great action shot. I don't know how much was luck, but the coincidence of horse in the air and the impact on the peg being captured at the same time really just shouts action. There are almost no distractions as the subject nearly fills the image (except perhaps some specks in the sky). The focus of the rider on the peg shows the skill involved. Perhaps the only fault is that the rider's face is obscured in darkness.

Hi Yasir, this is an incredible action shot! So clear and sharp, good light, the action frozen in time, the horse is not even touching ground at no point.
Great shallow dof. Superb colours. I wish i took this photo lol!

Fantastic photo. I agree with Rew, your f/5.6 has given a pleasing shallow dof, allowing the rider and horse to be isolated from background distraction. The fast shutter speed has frozen this perfect moment in time. I would be very pleased if this was my shot. I don't believe with this type of shot that critiqing should be allowed! As it is such an achivement to get the shot in the first place, however seeing as you asked for it, the only small thing would be more light in the riders face, I wish I could see his expression. beautiful and well captured. its a unique shot, all four limbs are off the ground. its a moment captured in time. i myself studied for my MBBS in pk but unfortunately was quite broke at the time but there were so many times when i wished i had a camera to capture the wonderful colours of your country
