The Man on The Train

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
this was taken on my way from quetta to lahore by train last year :)
i don't exactly remember the place where this photo was taken... i was going through some old files and found this one.. i always liked the composition in this one personaly..
it was taken with my first digital slr camera, the olympus e500... shot in b/w mode, jpeg...
the fellow in the picture was travelling with me... he was quite an interesting person, although my uncle and i bugged him throughout the journey... but he was cool enough to take our jokes lightly :) it was a fun journey :)
lets see what u think of this one..

Well it's an interesting portrait because of the unusual POV, not often we view a subject from such a low angle.
He has quite a cold kind of expression, which is softened somewhat by the revelations of your note.
Good composition, his placement within the frame allows room for him to "look" at whatever he sees ...
Nice one
Rew
Composition is perfect, just perfect and so is the focus and the leading lines... not to mention the mans expression and just his posture. Only issue here is, I can't see why only one person has commented on this image!! Sigh, sometimes I just want to leave this site because I'm confused at how some excessively trivial and well honestly, tactless images get comments.
This is wonderful, your pictures always catch my attention... great clarity in this one. It seems to speak of your journey. :) TFS!
Biance.
Your use of a smaller aperture really brings out the form and detail of this shot. The tonality and contrast is excellent. Very sharp, I love the textures of the worn surface of the train at the upper left balanced by the man's face and the letters that say "entrance." The POV, as Rew said, is very creative and makes this shot unique. You can sense the thoughts of the man since you have left some space at the left, which makes for an extremely balanced composition. You have made such an appealing and intriguing shot of subjects that could be considered everyday or "mundane" and that shows the success of your work. Oh, and I love how everything in the shot is in flat, smooth tones broken only by the man's pin-striped shirt. Wonderful angled lines going throughout too. Ah! The more I look at this shot the more I love it! TFS!
