[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I was up till late last night when i saw the light falling from the laptop's LCD on my cell phone(which was placed on the laptop's keyboard)...that gave me an idea for a photo of the last perfume in my armada...(interestingly, all three perfume bottles i have, are black in color)...the light from the LCD was acting just like a soft box)...

Thinking: Since i knew the light was too dim for a hand held shot, i decided to employ my tripod, but then again, the camera had to be horizontally mounted to avoid perspective distortion on the perfume bottle...

Acting: I took a laptop sleeve (a soft case in which you carry your laptop) having a matte finish, and placed it over the keyboard, and on top of it, the perfume bottle... now the challenge was 'moving around'... though an excellent tripod, there was very little room for me to move around to make the most out of the tripod's extensions, so i was forced to place the laptop on the floor... a move that worked!! and enabled me to place the camera almost right above the perfume bottle...

using my 'monotonous' technique, i placed the perfume bottle in much the same fashion as in the last post...

but to make for some reflection, i had to tilt the laptop's screen forward, i.e. leaning towards the keyboard... with the ISO set at 100, i got an exposure of no less than six seconds... i could have used a high ISO, but this time around, and given the texture of the bottle, i wanted things to remain crisp and sharp to the highest degree, and for that very reason, an aperture of f/7 was used :)

Post Processing: Adjusted the contrast, the highlights and blacks in lightroom, and then in Photoshop, used a 'multiply' layer to darken it a bit :)

Thanks for viewing :) let's see what you think of this one :)
