[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I was in the eye of the storm "Paeng"
in Nueva Vizcaya last Oct 30, 06 and
as I looked at the two damaged bridges
that were swept away. I saw this guy
with his net.

The river has swollen the night before and
some fishponds donated "Tilapia" fish to the
local community. This man was enterprising
enough to venture downstream for some catch.

The photo shows the twisted trees and branches
providing an awry look at the background while
the foreground is contrasted by the almost still
waters...I converted this to black and white to get the
rough background to make an abrupt scene change...

Tomorrow, Dec. 1, 06 another storm
"Reming" will hit us and it will be packing
the same wind velocity of 190 kms per hour.

That is disconcerting.

Great conversion to B&W, idol! Well done. Placing the human element smack in the middle, though, makes it uninteresting. Parang kulang sa punch. Pero ewan, baka nadali lang taste ko sa kapapanuod ng boxing. LOL!!
