[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Being included in the southeast Asia, Philippines is one of the countries that has only two seasons, namely Summer and Rainy season, and with the sudden shift resulting to extreme climate due to Global warming, Drought is being experience in some areas here in my country, Water ( Potable) an essential source of survival for all forms of life including Humans is difficult to find by my fellow countrymen in the rural areas, many deep wells, irrigation systems, public water reservoir dried up due to extreme heat of the summer sun and by the improper use of it by some, in the urban areas, water "SHORTAGE" is the result of this, Men in this picture w/c i saw carrying this two gallons of freshly voided water from a water pump 500 meters away from home, this will be good for drinking, preparing food for a day or two, but this is still a blessing from God at least we still have water than nothing at all.

Stunning work
Amazing result
My compliments

Hi Allan

Knowing the Philippines and its humid climate, I never imagined it could be hit by drought - that would be disastrous!

A poignant shot here. The b&w adds to its impact, as does the vignette.

Composition isn't bad, although you could've shifted the camera a little so your main subject was slightly more to the left, creating a balance between him and the more distant figure.

I like it!! A very sad note though, and something I witnessed often while visiting there. Nice contrast! TFS

Hi Allan,
beautiful presentation on human interest shot..
the rendered lighting makes it moody..
excellent!

I love how you did this Allan! The lower tones are really nice, leading your eyes right into the shot! A really nice posting, worthy of National Geographic!
