[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a Waterman for Hire, he delivers water to your home from a nearby ( 500 meters) water station, since Summer here in my country water pumps of some household are already dried up, so the result is to hire this man to fetch water for them, he just charge 10 pesos per gallon and if they are kind enough usually give him something ( Food) to eat.

PP work:
Gradient map for B&W
crop, Sharpen and frame.

Hope you like it.

Brilliant view of daily life and this guys determination to get the water delivered shows. Nice contrast on the b&w, mebbie a little ott on the vinegretting on the edges corners in my oppinion, but a brilliant capture.

This really is a powerful, photo-journalistic shot Allan.

Excellent choice to convert to B&W to add mood and drama.
Not too sure on the comment about vignetting made by Bri..Was this purposely done, or is it a trait that the camera has on longer focal lenghts with filters attached?

You've caught in an instant the constant hardship these people have to deal with on a day to day basis for such things we take for granted.
Good informative note too.

Hi Allan

That's the stuff! Great shot. When captured an image with the human element like this, it's always best to get their face, their expression, the front-on view - and this is so powerful because of it.

That looks like a serious weight of water he's carrying, and the look on his face confirms it.

Good job with the b&w and vignette to eliminate the distractions and concentrate attention on your subject.

Very strong picture that show a hard worker...
