Beautiful portrait, Pablo, and this is quite different from what you have been posting so far on TL but it shows that you are a versatile photographer. I like the B&W on this one and you have captured a very nice expression in his eyes. I also like the tight crop that really focus our attention on the very expressive eyes. Well done!

Hi Pablo, Filipino kids, especially those you find on the streets are extremely happy children if they are with kids of the same age. these kids may have less in life but they can still afford to put up a smile and laugh with you if you would only stop by and greet them or strike a conversation with them. it pretty amazes me too how unmindful they are of the hardships they may be facing when they go back to eat and sleep at home when there's nothing much to eat or fill their stomach with. but as they say, being happy is just a state of mind!

Hi Pablo...What you see is hope in the eyes of this child. He is too young too understand what the real world is like now. His innocence protects him from the hardships around him and hope is still alive him his fragile heart.....

Nice PP work Pablo! I also like the note, it really brought more drama on the Picture.

I am just not sure about the tight crop on the head portion, but I am thinking you might intentionally did that to focus more on his eyes based on your note.

Yes i like today your comment because you critique me je je... it is good. The photo is very impresive but i see something rare in the eyes, is my opinion, look the white in the eye, don.t think it need a little soft? to do the transitation between the face and the eye ligther. The rest, excellent.

One of the best portraits i've seen. May i ask about the colour version? i am always interested to see a comparison between the colour and B&W - this helps me understand why the image was more suited to black and white. the softening technique has worked really well for emphasis here. Great work!
