[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is our basketball ring at home. I used to play a lot back then. Now it's become a useless household furniture, full of childhood memories. I guess that's the reason why I just couldn't let mom throw it away.

PP Work:
I really don't have that much experience in working with B&W Photos, and not quite sure on how to bring out the texture of the board. so anyone out there who might want to re-work on this one, let me know and I'll gladly appreciate it and send you the original colored photo.

First I turned the photo to BW using color mixer, played with the sliders until I found out the blue channel was the best, so I set red and green to 0 and blue to 100. adjusted contrast by levels. cropped the upper and lower part of the photo. and Volia! My old basketball ring in BW!

Hi Lemuel,
the compo and the textures are superb, but the white/gray on the top right is disturbing IMO...
Fred

Hi,
Nice b&w photo.

Y.BEL

The choose to use b/w was excellent, because it gives more drama to the photo being nostalgic.
I like so much your composition since in my ways I often say, THE CLOSER THE BETTER, because you will get the real feeling its like just in front of you ALIVE, also the distraction will be minimize or non existence.
Excellent piece of art you have made because photography is surely an art. Good eye man. Mabuhay ka dyan.

Nicely done lemuel...:)

Hi Lemuel,
This is a good personal photo in b&w. The composition and texture are ideal. With greetings from Wash DC.

This is good work, Lemuel. I think your b&w treatment worked very well indeed, the detail of the broken back-board is very sharp and I think it conveys the message you wanted it to. Congratulations.

Seems it became a witness to many sweaty days. hehe.

The image is very well presented. Real and withtout pretensions. Excellent.
