Filipinos are fond of a little of something in their food thats why this literally called "sweet and sour" is in the level of adobo, afritada, menudo in the fave food lists. Pork and Fish are the usual choice but to really reward your taste buds it is a must to try sweet and sour Lapu-Lapu. The mixture of flavor and spices compliments the soft tasty white meat of the Lapu-Lapu. Thus giving you the best of everything sweet, sour and yummy!

On a recent trip to cebu we passed by the mactan shrine where stands Lapu-Lapu (the philippine hero not the fish), and not so far from the place is a row of Sutukil restaurants filled with fresh fish, squid, shells oysters where you can decide how to things get cooked. Either grilled, soup, sizzling, sweet and sour, kinilaw (raw like sashimi) and a lot more.

The cook recommended the head part of lapu-lapu cooked in sinigang soup (which was sooo gooood) while the rest in sweet and sour style (im salivating while writting this).
