You know this photo could have been taken 100 years ago! It's got a very antiquish feel to it. A little unsharp but that doesn't seem to bother me too much, as it adds to that old feel! Really nice in BW Karen!

Hi Karen,
Timeless photo!
Beautiful model with a nice pose! I agree with Linda about the little lack of acuity. You could play with the neutral tones and enhance the black. The textures of the volcanic rock are so interesting. Well balanced composition with a good use of the thirds. Bravo! Annie

Hi Karen

A bit out of focus but very well framed with nice manipulation of contrasts and light.

Have a good day and TFS

Hello Karen,

I think your skills of composition and setting really shine through but for me, the lack of sharpness is a big issue.
In these days of super cameras and pp programmes, I feel we should be improving quality not recreating the oof shots of the last century. I'm so sorry to be so critical because I like you as a friend and respect your skills as a photographer. (Forgive me!)

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Karen,
Composition and mood really are interesting. Your picture evokes an old photo from one or another forgotten family album.
Said this, the blown out whites and the too soft focus (especially on the person) bother me a little. I think they might have been more acceptable if you had done a sepia conversion or applied an "old photo" filter.
Just my personal opinion, of course. Feel free to (dis)agree ;o).
TFS & kind regards,
Erik

Hi Karen,
I agree with Linda for and old picture of the fifty with a Kodak brownie Hawkeye, but I think it a great experience that you have doing with your Canon..
Nice taken picture and well presented ..
compliments
Michel

Hi Karen

Well composed using the rule of thirds with good horizontal layering & reasonable sharpness. A little soft, but the overall blue colour tint is nice. Tfs!

Interesting work dear friend!Greetings.A.

Hello Karen.
Nice looking, but not really sharp, and some oe in background.
(due to backlight)
Shutterspeed of 1/30 is rather slow by F 5.6.
It seems not much light that moment, Keep your camera more stable, press the shutter slowly.
Regards from Jan

HI Karen
I like the bit of vignetting and the fact that it is blurred.
It looks like the photos that I scan that date back to the 80s.
Its a good experiment in b&W, you could try sepia, photoscape has a good one which turns it into an old photo.

hi Karen

A nice pose of portrait on the funny looking bridge crossing that looks like a gap of rock formation. Not sure about the original color but the blur is affecting the result, frankly speaking.

The contrast is probably a little flat. I tried the levels and curves adjustment and do a smart sharpen, it helps a little with the outcome.

tfs, bill
