hi Karen

Very lovely composition to show such a tropical scenery with so much green and blue tones. I think not just the stonework is interesting, the hut itself is very well placed to catch the eye.

If it is not too much effort, probably worth a try to clone out the leaf at right. But it is still a superb capture.

tfs, bill

Hello Karen,

Great composition using the foliage for f/g interest and the steps to lead into the focal image.
Lovely details of texture.
The colours and images create an appealing ambience.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

ciao Karen..
maybe it was perfect for the daily friday theme.. about architecture culture..
in any case it's interesting indeed.. for colours and forms..
beautiful atmosfere.. i can breath a sense of magic..
effective capture.. many thanks
ciao Marco

The stonework is interesting but really doesn't come across as being the subject of this shot. The nipa-roofed hut itself, its location and its design, is more dominant. That and the blue sky ... and the skewed horizon. ;)

Good placement of the structure in the frame, though.

HI Karen
the look out is interesting wit its peak showing against that so blue sky and good texture of the stone.
Your horizon is a bit tilted but I most certainly get the feeling of a very beautiful spot.

Only ONE person ahead of me (REW from NZ) commented on the crooked horizon. Don't they see it?
Apart from that, it is an attractive scene - I do like the stonework and the blue of the sky
Cheers
Janice from NZ

PS Maybe because we come from an area that is surrounded by the sea that we NZers notice the crooked horizons :)

Hello Karen,

beautiful composition with the very pleasant colors and contrasts on a well balanced image.

This is almost like a picture Karen. It has that kind of compostion quality, detail and colouring. Very pretty scene but the horizon let you down. Still worth 2 pts however. Good job

Hi Karen, A well composed image with the strong green and blue elements. The thatched hut roofline is a big asset to this photo, making it very tropical looking. Maybe on Mactan Island? Only comment is the horizon slopes a little, but the hut look straight, maybe an optical illusion going on. TFS. Murray.

Oh my, Karen,
this is a beauty! I like the vertical framing and the composition is superb. (I've always admired your eye for composition.) Wonderful rich color, mad good detail and a beautiful view. This is outstanding! Many thanks and warmest regards,
Shelly

Beautiful composition. I would love to go someplace tropical right now. We've had so much rain (after all that darn snow all winter!)
