The picture portrays the title, or the title portrays the picture, either way it works well.
Your friend certainly captured the wistful facial expression as well as the body language here, and the placement on the bench says volumes as well.
Very effective overall. The use of B&W is perfect too for the mood you portray.
To be picky, the plant stuff behind her is a bit distracting though, would have been nice to find an angle that minimized it or to clone it out in post.
A good effective image nonetheless.

Hi Cyrene,

I love the image here, you have captured some real feeling in your model, but for me there is not enough concentration on Marielle....IMHO too many other distractions. I have taken the liberty of doing a ws...hope you like it. For me it conveys more of the feeling of waiting, without the distractions.

Hope you like it,

Regards,

John

Hi Cyrene

Good idea and overall good delivery - your subject is well placed in the frame with strong use of negative space to imply the "person who should be there."

I think the low POV doesn't quite work, actually a view looking down on her from higher up would emphasise the sense of vulnerability and being alone. - But just an opinion. This is eyecatching and effective.

I love it, Good moody portrait of the beauty. Lovely light and composition.
