[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The carabao (Filipino: kalabaw; Malay: kerbau) is a domesticated subspecies of the water buffalo found in the Philippines, Guam, and various parts of Southeast Asia. Carabaos are typically associated with farmers, being the farm animal of choice for pulling the plow and the cart used to haul farm produce to the market.

Photo was taken in Sta. Fe on our way to Ormoc City.

Adjusted levels, saturation, added border and resize for TL.

Hello Chris,

This is a fine documentary of the hard side of a farmer's life!
And what would they do without the carabao...
A well balanced composition with good details, nice reflection of man and beast!

Greetings,
Pablo -

Lovely view of Filipino life ... the rice field, the carabao, the clustered trees around the farm hut and the distant mountain range - so typically Philippines. Good metering and saturation, great sharp detail.
