Buruwisan Falls at Mt. Romelo
Siniloan, Laguna

The most photogenic of the falls found there. This one is just near the campsite which is accessible by a 4-5 hour hike/climb on good weather conditions.

Tech:
- tripod
- CPL to reduce the glare. CPL also cuts down the light, sometimes we won't need an ND filter

Post processing
- levels adjustments (a nice way to boost the saturation also)
- USM for sharpening

Always shoot waterfalls on an overcast day

Nice waterfall with great moving effect. TFS

Beautiful photo! I love the rich variety of greens and especially the dark silhouetted leaves against the green backdrop. I wish I could see it BIG!

Cheers,
Don

Hi Allan,
Stunning capure of this fall!
I especially like your composition, here.
Framing the scene, the position of the tree gives a great depth and the vivid and great range of greeneries adds life and energy at this image. Excellent exposure and definition of colors. Bravo! Annie

Hi Allan,

This shot amazed me. I like the way you frame the waterfall in the tree at the front. A good placement too using the rule of thirds with brilliant foreground. Agree with you CPL always works for me specially in the strong sunny day.

Hello Allan.
A very good shot, which captures so much detail in the area of shadow, as well as the highlight of the water. The slow shutter was just the right speed, so as not to make the water look too milky. Lovely green colours of the forest and a beautiful pervasive light. Good use of the CPL. The tree makes a nice sort of frame. Well done.
Regards,
Andrew

Nice work mate! Beautifully composed with excellent measurement of light and levels, perfect use of the slow shutter to give that water a soft appearance; and very strong saturation.
