[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This shot was taken along Tondaligan beach in Dagupan City. It is the city's premiere beach spot where most locals would go during weekends and on holidays. The beach front is lined up with small restaurants equipped with video karaoke (videoke) machines, where Filipinos can belt out their favorite songs.

The road beside the beach is also lined with bigger and quieter restaurants offering seafood feasts that are sure to satisfy everyone.

This shot was taken at high noon, which I normally would not recommend because of the glare created by the water and lack of contrast. But because of the digital age, one can easily remedy the situation in post process.

Hi Pierre!
Your making me miss home with this beautiful picture of yours! I have been there, and we have rented out one of those small little huts with karaoke machines inside. Where are the kids though? Usually there are lot of kids playing with the waves.. Great shot, maybe crop some of the blue skies because it is very blue and overwhelming that it makes the brown areas on the right a bit look awckward. Other than, great shot. great pov.

Beautiful light! What a gorgeous place. The only gripe I have with this photo is the horizon line. It is much too centered. In this case a little less sky would have been better. If there had been more clouds, then less beach would have worked. This is the number one landscape No-No. Even so, I find the light in this photograph exceptional.

hi Peets, nice pic. I noticed may mga patak na sa sensor mo. they're mostly in the middle horizontal line of the image, in this photo, just above the mountains and clouds, the most prominent being the one on the left just above the mountain and the one in the middle where the blue hue changes from light to darker. judging from the way they look, parang they all fell on the sensor at the same time, looks like water stains. ako palaging ganyan after going to the beach or near the sea. di maiwasan eh. I already cover the cam with a towel when changing lenses pero ganun pa din.

I like the composition. The boat was balanced by the huts/establishments on the right. Love the colors although the sky feels like a "hot" blue instead of a cool "breezy" blue - not that there's anything wrong with that. :)
