[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I shot this last month together with Raul (Voyagenation). Her name is Bea.

It was during this shoot that I first tried to capture portraits in RAW format. I learned a lot during that day and the experience really boosted my confidence in portraitures. I admit I still have tons to learn, but I am getting there faster with the help of this community.

It will be a while again before I will post some portraits, so I hope you enjoy this one. :)

Nice portrait Pierre. You brought out the natural beauty of Bea well. I particularly like the way you did not do much pp, if there is at all. It is very natural. The cropping is nicely done too. Thanks for sharing.

Well! Super picture and from the stance and angle are you taking her picture, or is she looking in on your world? If you see what I mean?

This is a really well composed shot and technically very good. The fact that you have not used a reflector on the right(as we look at the shot) has created a very nice but defining shadow on her face, but not on the detail of the clothes. The shapness is excellent and very well focused on the eyes. Nice backdrop too.

Hello Pierre,
This is a striking portrait, and notable is that you artistically cropped so that the vertical bisector of the canvas passes through one of your subject's eyes, as did many of the "old masters." Did you do this deliberately or instinctively? It is a technique I picked up from reading "Math and the Mona Lisa", recently written by Bulent Atalay, my physics professor of long ago.
All the best,
Karen
P.S. Many thanks for your critique of "Apprehension"--tomorrow I will post a portrait of the doctor.

Pierre, well done. Now i see how the masters are doing it. Good one
