[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
An experimental shot with a bottled beverage... I used one key light for the shot and used a black BG to have contrast.... used a small spot light to focus on the liquid coming out of the bottle. I used a wider aperture to create depth and focused on the tip of the bottle.

PP is sharpening/ hue and saturation / contrast and levels

très belle effet.
Bonne journée Marilène.

Hi Arman,
Very creative photo, the shallow DOF has done its job nicely. There's a bit of lens flare due to the spotlight that I may have been tempted to clone out, but for the most part it looks like this experiment has worked really well. Bravo.

TFS,
Scott.

Hello, Arman -
Fine experiment with an eye-catching result. Your lighting technique, especially the spot on the pouring liquid, has really made the stream appear luminous. Good choice of the black background. The DOF puts the focus right on the mouth of the bottle and the liquid flow. Well done.

Bom dia Arman
great experience. It´s fun and Good. A great Bg to this focus photo. Unusual and very attractive to the eyes.
My regards

Hello Arman,

A difficult shot but one that has worked amazingly well!
I love how the bottle emerges from the b/g achieved by your narrow dof. The focus on the descending, sparkling liquid is excellent.
I might have been tempted to clone out the lens flare beneathe the bottle, the ones behind the liquid, for me, add to the effect.

Have a good day,
Bev :-)

hi arman
excellent image great short dof, well highlighted the liquid is sparkling the green bottle stands out well on the black b/g.
regards
jimmy

I like your experiment, it worked well. Did you hold the bottle, or have it clenched with something? Thanks for sharing!

Very nice 3D like image captured here with a beautiful lighting setup! The useful notes are also a bonus. Great work my friend!

regards,

Dilshan

Good work Arman, the shallow DoF works well, did you get someone else to pour the bottle?
cheers
Jack

Really like the composition, light and timing of this. Colours are great and the black background really makes it.

Just a reference to your note though - you say you used a small aperture, but f/2.8 is a very large aperture (the lower the number, the bigger the aperture.)

That said, the wide aperture and shallow DOF are well used.
