[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This shot was taken from White Island, near Camiguin, Philippines. I took many shots as the moon rose over the Camiguin. The colors went from orange, to yellow, to brown, and finally to the silvery white here. The ethereal reflection off of the water and campfire's glow made me pause and be thankful for the beautiful and memorable things in life.

Anyway...

I had a small tripod to hold things steady. I selected the slowest shutter speed (15s for Canon A80) and pushed the button. For PP I removed the lights from the island of camiguin and sharpened a bit.

I also tried to bring some detail out in the dark areas with contrast, level, brightness, and every other adjustment I could think of to make. The histogram showed that I was pretty much wasting my time though since everything was on the far left except for a tiny sliver on the far right.

Hope you enjoy looking at it as much as I enjoyed being there to take it.

I like this night photo with the moon, the shapes of the clouds, The reflection on the water and the silhouette of the mountains. The fire on the right bring some warm in the photo. Well done
