Allan, me like too very wide lens at slow shutter sure it gives the effect of smoke but it is the wave, well shot..
Regards and TFS.

Hello Allan,
Excellent choice of shutter speed. Slow enough to create a smokey effect while still keeping the BG sharp. Color is interesting.

Greg
Good technical explanation. Appears that the expposures was more than your stated 1/2 seconds. I would think it looks more that at least 10 seconds or more. Did you do any post process in CS 3? Good composition and it is very pleasing to the eyes. Thank you.
awesome colors and details on those rocks with a great shutter speed, cool effect, nice sky hues too, i think the horizon is slighted tilted? still this is a wonderful image, nice work as always,

scott

Another very nice shot here Allan. I really like the effect of the grad filter, and I'm very taken with the 'tracer' effect of water droplets moving through the frame during your exposure.
Very nice work!

This is fabulous Allan. I can't offer any suggestions as to how to improve for it looks flawless. Is this part of Cotabato safe? I am visiting the Philippines by March and may consider this area of Mindanao if safety is not an issue. My compliments...Danilo
wall paper ko na ini sa pc ko sa ofis hehe.
hey what good is an ND2? useless ba for daytime? or should i go something higher?

Thanks Allen, I really appreciate your explanation of the shot - the 1/2 sec exposure is spot on. I sometimes use my ND4+ND8 at F22 but the exposure is too long and as you say the water gets flattened too much.
much appreciated
Jack
