Lake Sebu, South Cotabato

A lake situated 1000m above sea, home of the T'boli and Ubo tribes, and our province's summer capital.

The sun managed a last blast of color before the fog and rain clouds completely covered the mountains on the west side of the lake.

Critiques [Translate]

Lake Sebu is perhaps the most beautiful lake in the Philippines. The wooden canoe is handsomely used as a focal point. The green aquatic plants drape the ground scene well but makes me think of excessive nutrient runoff from the fields. Fantastic sky and clouds. Best regards Allan.

I like the composition of the photo... and Danny is right... nice choice of focal point... thou landscapes is not really my dept. I really like the composition and the pp is superb.... TFS

Hi Allan,
excellent shot of the lake with great clouds - the filters have worked well and the composition is also VG with the canoe leading into the centre of the image and last of the fading light

All I can say is wow...and everything else about the photo is perfect. Thanks for the useful notes as this helps everyone understand how this kind of effect is achieved. This picture also inspires me to go and purchase that wonderful wide angle lens I have been longing for as I wanted the nikon but it is too expensive and I think I am convinced of the Sigma 10-20 now.TFS!
