I saw this lonely tree and thought about framing it with the moody sky and this is what came out.

I am happy with it except for the horizon line which does not comply with the 'thirds'. Also, the post processing could have been more aggressive.

Thanks for looking. Your valuable inputs are very much welcome

I Like this simple composition Timothy. Very well done. Thanks for sharing. Regards, Jean.

Hi. I like this shot. Nice POV. Especially how the clouds seems to ray out from the tree. TFS :-)

Its a good shot with lots of mood and atmosphere.

I agree with you on placement of the horizon. Maybe a lower point of view with the crown of the tree in the sky would help.

Cheers,
Jens

I keep asking, ¿what is in Philippines, besides the natural beauty of that country, that has so many good photographers?

Nostalgic, serene, pretty landscape.

Magandang compo bro! Ok lng yung minimal PP, ganda ng overall mood of the photo. Which island ito sa Honday bay?

Perfect! The sky looks wonderful!

Hello Timothy. A fabulous shot! I wouldn't worry about your comment about thirds. Thirds is only a recommendation, sometimes it just doesn't fit. I really like this photo, well composed and exposed. The only thing I would have chaged would be to not have the tree touching the edge of the photo. A little buffer is always good. Well done!

It's dynamite, Tim! Very simple and elegant job. The tree as well as the horizon is placed so nicely. TFS. This is top-notch photo pp. Why did you think the horizon line was not in 'thirds,' it looks like thirds to me and I'm going blind...;)
