[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a photo of one of the monitor lizards I saw at the St. Paul Subterranean National Park.

I have never seen a lizard this huge. This particular lizard is probably around 2 meters long, but according to some info that I picked up in the internet, it could grow up to 3 meters.

I was so amazed by this creature that while taking photos I didn't realize how close I was to it until some guys including the tour guide shouted at me to get back. Although I was using a telephoto lens, I tried to get as close to it as possible in order to get a clear shot without the bushes obstructing my view as well as for the flash unit to not create shadows.

I tried to make the composition and POV a bit unusual. I also made use of a narrow dof for the viewer to focus on the head of the lizard. Looking back, I should have taken a shot with the tongue out. Just wanted to know what you guys think.

Critiques and comments are very welcome. Thank you.
