[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a photo of the entrance to the underground river at the St. Paul Subterranean River National Park, which was inscribed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site last 1999.

This National Park features a limestone karst landscape with over 8 kilometers of navigable underground river, which is the longest in the world.

I just love the green and the blues in this photo, which are very cool to the eyes. The slightly overcast day somehow helped to bring out more color. The white sand at the middle left also adds something to the photo.

I did slight post processing to this photo. Only minor contrast adjustment. Unfortunately, the photo has to undergo significant compression to reach 200kb. So in this case, the sharpness and contrast might not be optimal.

Thanks for looking. Please let me know what you guys think.

Hello Timothy!

The filipino connection (^_^) is very active and successful tonight. What a cool environment to enjoy a dip on a hot summer day. Great idea to include the boat partuially adding depth to your composition and giving also a sense of scale to the depth of water too.

Cheers!
Robert

very nice view and cool colors.. slight PP worked fine and the sharpness is good enough.. composition is well-balanced also..

Cannon is announcing a photo contest of photography in the parks, but too bad it is only for photos of parks in the USA. I think this photo could win something. Beautiful colors and sharpeness. Thanks!

Excellent photo here Tim. Masterfully composed.

I love the contrast of the blue bangka (outrigger) and the greenish water. Love the natural light too

Great Job!
