9 am is about as stressful as it ever gets in El Nido. That's when everyone heads to the beach to board the tour boats or 'bangkas' on tours A,B,C, or D around the Bacuit Archipelago. This is the view towards cloud shrouded Cadlao Island, from El Nido Beach, a little before 9 am. Just checked the view details & it is showing 9:51. Actually it was an hour before then (8:51am) as Korea time is different to Philippines time.

What a beautiful postcard, Chris!
I like the frontal POV of the narrow DOF.
The light is pale and somewhat indicative of the hour.
Amazing to see;
R.

What a wonderful scene you have caught here, Chris!

Amazing cloud formation against such a breathtaking landscape.
The colors are natural and clarity is amazing.
The POV and DOF are well done.
Great work.

Hi Chris,
A sort of a painting effect in this landscape shot. I like the pastel colors and the softness of the ambient, here. The clouds touching the pointed peak are enhancing this marvelous composition.
The tranquil atmosphere is outstanding due to the perfect subtle lighting.
Very neat work.

Awesome capture of those outriggers! Bring back memories when my brother and I had to swim when our bangka sunked...too much coconuts and bananas on board! LOL Love the clouds reflecting on the calm sea. Very well done, tfs.

Hi Chris,

The photo looks like the ones we saw in old encyclopedia in my childhood!
Love the nostalgia rendered by faded colors of sea and sky.
How I would like to go there, one day!

Annie

Hi Chris
amazing colors. wonderful view from the beach towards the marvelous cliffs of Cadlao Island touching the cloudy sky. interesting small boats anchoring, waiting for passengers.
a scene to enjoy.

Hi Chris, love the soft colours in this one, the quiet lull before chaos, a bit of mystery inthe clouds.Fiona

Hi Chris,

I love the composition, nice placement of the peak that is partially covered by clouds. The one recommendation I would make is to add a touch of contrast, to make the green hills "pop" a bit more. The D90 tends to be a bit flat at times, and I often have to add some contrast to shots I take with it.

This looks like a lovely place, TFS.

Hi Chris,

The reflections on the water are assets to the composition. the distance between the small boats and the mountains is giving depth to the scene. the point of view is showing the details and colors of the mountains. The quality of the light is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.

Pierre

The quality of light helps to complete a very tranquil and serene scene. Must have been a lovely morning TFS

Beautiful scene you captured here. Your photos of Philippine are amazing. Hopefully one day I will get to these beaches.
