When my husband and I were planning our trip to Boracay, I was not as eager as I was in the rest of my trips. I imagined the beach to be somewhat similar to the beach here in Dubai where you would see white sand and clear waters. But I never imagined that I would admire the island as much as I do now.
Boracay boasts of a 7 kilometer beach having the clear waters against the powdery white sand, which is so fine that we can compare it to the coffee creamer. The sand never gets hot even on the warmest time of the day, which makes you enjoy the beach all day long. There's a lot of activities you can enjoy and all water activities are distributed in different areas in the sea so that the people swimming along the beach will not be disturbed. The bars and the hotels set up their dinner buffets around 6pm so that guests can enjoy dinner by the beach while watching the magnificent sunset. I guess the reason why Yahoo Travel announced Boracay as the 7th Best Beach in the World is because it comes close to what we can imagine as paradise.
The photo shows Puka beach located on another side of Boracay Island. This is a less crowded beach than the 7km one because there is no hotel in this area. I tried to capture the warm color of the boat and life jackets against the cool colors of the sand, sea and sky. Since I was not using a tripod, I tried to get as much DOF as I can with the fastes shutter speed as possible. F/11, ss 1/125

Great colors and nice composition. Perfect picture as the place. I've never been there but I admire this place, someday I'm going to visit and capture Boracay on my camera. TFS
