This dad was enjoying helping his little daughter make sand castles at White Beach. The coralline sand here is so soft, it was said to be like cotton according to the Spaniards who arrived here around 1521. That is a long time for people to be enjoying this wonderful place.
An interesting ebook about the early days is here:

Cool shot and a great title. The light was beautifully diffuse, the colours are natural, the DOF is well managed. Good work!

Hello Murray,
Lighter moment of life very nicely captured.
As we all are aware that presently life has become very fast, therefore such moments are necessary.
I enjoyed the picture.

Nazir

Bonjur Murray,

Nice catch here. I like your simple composition and the good bokeh on the sea. But I just cannot find your focus point! All seems to be without a clear focus...
I wonder if this comes from your distance to the subject.
Maybe a bit more contrast ans sharpness would have helped a lot there, I think.
If you think that I am wrong, do not hesitate to tell me.

Au plaisir,

Damien (points system off)

Hi Murray,
Haha, priceless photo! I was online when you uploaded this a few hours ago, but wanted to wait until now as I certainly think this is worth 2-points. The absence of his daughter makes this shot quite humorous, looks like he's having fun. The shutter speed could have perhaps been a bit faster to prevent any motion blur, but for the most part it looks sharp and clear. Well composed too, good use of the focal length.

TFS,
Scott.

Hello Murray :)

Sweet moment you captured there ! Soft colours and contrasts between sea and this man, well done.
Have a nice day

Marylou

Hi Murray,

what a catch.. beautiful and the title is really cool.. I like how the sand is still falling out of his hand, nice natural colors and the sharpness in general is very good.. I like the mood in this shot, he seemed to have a fun time and you captured this lovely moment superbly..

best wishes
suzy

I can imagine his thoughts.
You have captured a great moment.
... and the child is not there. Great! (but really the big child is there after all.)

Hello friend Murray.

Very cute picture of this daddy who plays with the sand like a child.
Reminds me of my own son, who still like to do this, even he is now 41 years, haha
Is there a little camera shake in it? Sharpness could be better.
But the scene is gorgeous.
Best regards from Jan

Hi Murray,
Well observed Murray, good to see you took your cam to the beach and shot this funny scene. Indeed, never too old to play, well captured and preseneted, maybe a bit too bright in the background, but it's not disturbing in my opinion.
