The Ati-Atihan Festival is a feast held in honor of the Santo Niņo held annualy in January concluding on third Sunday, in my wife's hometown. 890 Kilometers south of the capital, Manila.

It is the wildest among Philippine fiestas and considered as the Mother of All Philippine festivals.

Celebrants paint their faces with black soot and wear bright, outlandish costumes as they dance in revelry during the last three days of this two week-long festival. Catholics and non-Catholics alike observe this special day with processions, parades, dancing, and merrymaking.

I took the image of these handcrafted masks hanging by the side walk sold by the peddlers during the festivities. Usually people buy and wear this to join the street dance which lasted the whole night.

=========================
1. Satured the colors a little using levels.
2. Add some vignetting effect by brushing a black paintbrush around the image and change the blend mode to overlay.
3. Run unsharpmask twice, at 1.0 radius, 50% setting.
4. Selectively blurring other portion. To add effect to the existing shallow DOF.
4. Flipped, Cropped, Framed, Signed.

Hi Cesar! I never thought we have these kinda great costumes in Pinas. Lovely colors and POV. I'd rather see these 3 beautiful masks in detail. I like how you framed/cropped it.
Have a wonderful day and TFS,
Freddie :)
