White beach is the main strip of coral sand on this tiny dumb-bell shaped island about 7km long by 1km wide. Many of this outriggers, also called wave-cutters are pulled up on the beach and when conditions are right, they take a sail around the island or along the shore.

Bonjour Murray.
Des couleurs maritimes typiques des mers du sud à cette époque de l’année.
Les contrastes sombres sont parfait et l’image vivante et réaliste.
Bonne journée.

Beautiful beach scene...
Nice colors and composition...

Hello Murray,
The diagonal coconut tree, the trio of outriggers, and the beachcombers are the highlights. White Beach looks less crowded and cloudier compared when I was there a few months ago at peak season. Well done and best regards. Danilo

Nice simple composition and strong colours in this one Murray.

Personally I'd have opted to step aside from the tree and get the succession of boats unbroken ... but that's just me.

Hello Murray,

I find the tapering, diagonal palm tree an interesting introduction to the shot.
The three boats make a fine subject for interest, colour and composition.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

A very nice picture, good colors and detail. This brings back great memories, I love sailing!! I'm already looking forward to my next visit. TFS

Hi Murray

The diagonal lines of the beach and of the palm treeare assets to the composition. The presence of the people has an effect of scale. The point of view leads our eyes toward the horizon which is giving depth to the composition. The cloudy skyis sending a light which is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.

Pierre
