[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This was one of my shots during my summer vacation at home. A yellow hibiscus caught my attention after the rain. So I tried doing the dodge and burn because I haven't done it yet before.

I also would like to dedicate my work (as my sympathy) to the late Philippine President Corazon Aquino. She died on Aug. 1, 2009.
Her favorite color is yellow and as the nation grieved for her death, many buildings, cars, schools, etc. tied a yellow ribbon on some posts, gates, cars and even some wore a yellow ribbon. Even until today ou can see some yellow ribbon.

Critiques [Translate]

Hi Irene,
I agree with you, yellow is the favorite color of tita cory and this might be the chance to declare yellow as our national color. but a little critique, there's some noise all over on your photo, you can reduce it by using the noise ninja.
but well done!

A poignant capture here Irene, I remember this shot and the vignette you've added does give it some extra mood.

The story of Ninoy Aquino, his assassination, the EDSA Revolution and the eventual succession of Cory Aquino to the presidency is an inspiring and wonderful story - but sad that the hopes and ideals at that time haven't yet been realised.

I've tried a WS.

A wonderful present to bid fare well to a great leader. No doubt she was a symbol of courage for those who believe in peaceful struggle. We Pakistanis are standing with our Philpino bros and sisters at the time of greif and pay homage tho their beloved leader.
The composition, mood, colors and style are excellent in this post.I like the WS by REW also but perhaps the original shot is more suitable to remeber her.
PS: the change of your portrait in display is nice too
