| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Nothing special about this shot. This was just another boring Manila Bay sunset being photographed countless of times in the past. What is more significant here is the decisive moment that I had together with my girlfriend when I took this shoot. Here's the excerpt from my blog: "She asked me to take photo of the sunset that I myself was also excited to do such. I told her to setup the tripod while I change telephoto lens. She said there was no time as the sun is quickly being engulfed by the clouds. She was right, and besides, I realized she must have no idea how to setup the tripod for me. We’re losing our time and without changing lens, I turned on the Silverado and running out of time to tweak the manual setting, I set it to program mode and let the Silverado think for itself. I snapped a few photos and in less than a minute, the sun was already behind those clouds. I realized it was a decisive moment for both of us and my partner."
I understand inclusion of some text in the photo can be distracting. This was an edited version intended for my personal website. However, I had misplaced the CD that contained the raw images and I couldn't find it yet. So I opt to share this version instead.
Post processing only includes curves in Photoshop, sharpening, resizing plus the additional border. Nothing more. |

Hello Dodong,
A highly dramatic sunset, my friend!
Maybe air pollution also contributes to the spectacular sunsets at Manila Bay?
Beautiful colours and fine reflections, all presented in a fine composition!
And you can always post an image of the assistant to workshop, that is the usual way...
Greetings,
Pablo -
