Panagbenga(meaning flower blooming)or Flower Festival is held in Baguio City one week after Valentines Day.This group sre playing a bamboo instrument which is common in the Cordilleras.Sorry i don't know the exact name of this instrument, you can play this with your fingers or use stick.Maybe some experts out there can explain this more than me:)
This was crop, adjusted colors, sharpen and resize for TL. The worse is yet to come:)

Congratulations!

Hummm i imagine a sound dry and quick! Melodic rhythmic! Perhaps in the tradition, the round piece at the belt was considering as a money exchange?
I like the details!

Hi Mel, interesting celebration of whatever. I don't know what they are but they could probably be Googled up. TFS. Great colors, pov and dof.

I'm not an expert but i did the research for Trekkers sake..

It is called AYYUDING, it is made of a whole bamboo node with the strings carved out of the bamboo’s skin. It is played by striking the strings with a stick.

TFS
Happy Pinagbenga!!!

Vibrant, festive colours of Penagbenga (i presume)

Excellent POV, DOF and composition

Hello Mel,
Nice to have you back on TL. This is a beautiful and colourful street scene. I think I would have crop a bit more on the left hand side in order to remove the part of arm that we see. although it's really just a little detail. I like this image pretty much and even more because of the natural pose of the subjects :)
Well done and, once again, welcome back,

Annick

Hi Mel,

This is a great capture of a festive moment. Lovely colors and composition.
Are you attending Lang Ay Festival in Bontoc this weekend?

Are you still in the Philippines?

Mabuahy!
