[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
i would climb more mountains, swim more rivers
and watch more sunsets
i would be crazier, throw more coins
i would ride on more roller coasters
eat more ice cream, pick more daisies
walk barefoot in the spring
kiss the sun in the summer
write more poems, kiss more boys
learn more languages
fly more baloons, paint a boat
catch a firefly, climb a tree
follow the rainbow
hug more kids, send more praises
drink more water, share more juice
blow more bubblegums
send more letters, greet strangers
join the peace corps, volunteer
take more pictures, collect more souvenirs
sleep less, sing more songs
dress up, smile more, laugh more
taste my tears, embrace silence
celebrate music, dance in the rain
wear more yellow, pink and purple
follow the rainbow, help build a church
open more umbrellas, visit more countries
make a lollipop and candies, bake colorful cakes
enjoy natures beauty, caress more butterflies
be unafraid and unashamed like a child
be thankful everyday and
praise the Lord more...

Hi Claire,
I really like this and it works well in b&w.
Nice composition, I like the band round the ankle. I also like how you can see the person is sitting in shade but how sunny it is in the foreground.

Claire,
B*W are sharp. Nice legs? Your PoV is nice and correct. Could be a tad better in some aspects, but nonetheless very nice. I do love your note. It's a beautiful thing.

A very sweet note that comes from the heart and it also fits perfectly well with your photo. The black and white was a good decision and creates the nostalgia portrayed in your note. Well done, nice pov. Welcome to TL

Hi, Claire.

This is a great photograph for your introduction to TL! Wonderful exposure in very difficult and contrasty conditions and it comes out well in monochrome.

What's more - I like your very nice note - too few people add much of a note and I think the note is often as useful as the picture, whether it be to express a mood or feelings (like yours) or simply to tell about the technical aspects of the photograph and its post-processing.

Well done!

Best Wishes,

John.

Hi Claire,

So sweet and simple your shot!
It brought to my memory the feel of one of Jenny Joseph's poems:
"When I am an old woman I shall wear purple
With a red hat which doesn't go, and doesn't suit me,
And I shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves
And satin sandals, and say we've no money for butter.
I shall sit down on the pavement when I'm tired
And gobble up samples in shops and press alarm bells
And run my stick along the public railings
And make up for the sobriety of my youth.
I shall go out in my slippers in the rain
And pick the flowers in other people's gardens
And learn to spit.
You can wear terrible shirts and grow more fat
And eat three pounds of sausages at a go
Or only bread and a pickle for a week
And hoard pens and pencils and beermats and things in boxes.
But now we must have clothes that keep us dry
And pay our rent and not swear in the street
And set a good example for the children.
We will have friends to dinner and read the papers.
But maybe I ought to practise a little now?
So people who know me are not too shocked and surprised
When suddenly I am old and start to wear purple".

Best wishes,
Larissa

Hi Clair,
Yes I totally agree with you in this kind of lifestyle ... after all who does want to do this wonderful things God has given us to enjoy :) The raised feet and the white beach is a very good symbolism of your theme. Well captured and portrayed. Well done! tfs
Cheers,
Renier
