I'm a big fan of sunsets (expect to see more of what i've got so far), and boracay beach in aklan is one of the places where the sunset is a MUST see.
I was walking towards Willy's Rock to try to silhouette the landmark against the setting sun, but as i was walking along the beach, i couldn't help but notice how the sun's rays were shining thru the cloud. i wanted to capture that and did my best to silhoutte the boats getting ready to come in. anyway, i've experienced flaring with my camera and i read somewhere that i need to stop down the aperture, and so i went for f/22 hoping to get the detail that i want.
post processing was an attempt to have a postcard. just some minor levels and hue adjustments on photoshop.
what do you think..? thanks for viewing! cheers!
(Re-posted photo in larger format. hope this is better =) cheers!) |

Hi Patrick! Amazing lightness, amazing colors. Wonderful boats. Beautiful sescape. Cheers!
Nice sunset shot, textbook composition and good metering. As you have suggested with your framing and title, it would make a successful poster.

Hi Patrick! Lovely seascape photo. I like the timing of your shot as the sun is dramatic at that very moment.
Cheers!
Freddie :)
