I got my new nikkor lens and i decided to play around with it. it was getting towards the end of summer and the somewhat newly placed lotus plants on our koi pond were just starting to bloom ('cos the koi haven't eaten them yet!) I was playing around with my camera's WB settings to see and learn what the differences are. This is just one of the shots i took. i zoomed in on the pistels (???) in the middle, and zoomed in all the way to 300mm. I was just about 5 1/2 ft away.
I chose this from among the rest because it had the least clutter, and by accident, the water just came out dark. The little round circles there are bubbles caused by the pond's filter.
Just some re-sizing and a bit of levels and hue adjustment on CS3, otherwise, this is practically as is. cheers! |

Hi Patrick,
I like the contrast of the colourful flower and the dark water, even if it occured by accident. But I think you could have cropped it differently as there is to much space to the left and right of the flower - at least in my humble opinion.
Thanks for sharing.
