We were sent to this garage when we needed an oil change on our motorbike. A very busy man, open 24 hours a day!!

Dear Karen,
this is a wonderful picture of real "Garage"!!!
this simpleness and mess are very interesting and nostalgic for my eyes...this looks like a image of several decades years ago in Japan...though I never saw "open 24 h." in that time.
thank you,
Akihisa

Hi Karen,
Going through the country and seeing these kind of scenes must be a bit of culture shock for you coming from a develop country :) But I suppose these kind of experiences with the 'real' Filipino daily life would really make you appreciate more of your life in Canada and all its privileges. A good documentary photo. Well done! tfs
Cheers,
Renier

I noticed garages such as this in Kuala Lumpur when I was there Karen and they were in the city. An interesting image, well compose and good colour. The Oe in the background doesn't appear to interfere too much. TFS,
David

Hi Karen
Not sure that working in those rubber thongs would be called safety shoes by the unions of our country, and definitely not open 24 hours.
You definitely caught a great shot of this very frail man in his surroundings.

Hi Karen,
Beautiful picture of daily life of this garage 24 hrs a day..Beautiful colors and sharp picture excellent POV. and details of the garage..
well done.
Michel

Nice pic here Karen! Nice details, really amazing that this is SO different from the USA in everyway! Our places are too expensive, too slicked up! They know how to keep it simple!

Thanks on "MY ADOPTED SON"

we call this place talyer, normally the sign says vulcanizing shop.

I like this daily life shot emphasizing the difference in the wealth status of the third world countries to what so many of us are used to in more developed regions. A nice candid shot of this owner making a living and going about his daily tasks.

TFS

Wia
