| I took a shot of my niece one sunny day and I want to make a creative shot and I used a Y-2 filter for this shot as I want to create a certain mood. Even if there is a bit of sharp contrast on her face with the use of fill flash, the effect was like cross processing. I used spot meter and took a reading of her forehead and overexposed it by 1 stop. Lia's beautiful face was complimented by my desired effect. |

Hi Leander,
Good portrait.
I'm not sure what a Y-2 filter. I'm not experienced with cross processing either. There is definitely a certain mood to the photo but I do think the it lacks a bit of contrast and I think the saturation is a bit over the top.
I've done a workshop because I thought this photo was great to try a technique I saw recently. The tutorial is here (high contrast tutorial video @ picturesocial.com)
I hope you like the workshop.
Cheers,
Jens
