dear Karen,
this smile looks superficial, in my feeling, her eyes don't look joyful and cheerful...sad smile to my eyes.
except her expression, this shadow and back bright shore make her face relatively dark in this portrait.
but these conditions are not bad, as real image of this little girl. all her expression is not an act but actually her true self. and your capturing is not beside the point.
thank you,
Akihisa

How sweet she is. Another lovely portrait Karen, but the dark shadows darken the LH side of her face too much, I think. I like the background with the waves on the beach though - looks lovely and hot.

Hi Karen,
Adorable frimousse!
The B&W posted yesterday was so good, but I prefer the coloured version, here! For the natural and joyful expression of this young child! Such spontaneousness and frankness! I think the children have confidence with you! And they don't lie!
Very nicely done! Annie

Hi Karen,
One of the things I like shooting portrait shots back home is that there is no problem looking for willing subjects ... in many cases I encountered, they even encourage you to take photos of them. Lovely smile this kid has ... well captured. I like the candid pose and the good skin tone. Well composed! tfs
Cheers,
Renier

Hi Karen, The Philippinos are particularly photogenic and their outgoing personalities begin early as your portrait shows. Good backdrop and a happy face. TFS. Murray.

You are back again with "your" lovely Phillippine kids!

Beautiful portrait of a beautiful girl, Karen. I like the catchlight in her eyes, though the flash left the right part of her face a wee bit underexposed. As both her eyes are well visible it's no big deal... a small reflector might come in handy when you go back though ;o)

Hello Karen,

A fine portrait, showing this lovely little angel!
