Don't you just love it when a stressful day is rewarded with one of nature's best spectacles?

I went out one evening to "field test" an workmate's new digital (point and shoot) camera. The sky was ablaze! When nature flaunts its colors, you won't need an expensive photo gear to capture it. You won't even need to Photoshop the colors.

Experimented with the camera's slow flash sync mode. Since there is an open field in front of me the flash did not illuminate any foreground object, but it made the red color even more saturated.

Have nice weekend. Happy Halloween! (Its already Halloween in our little corner of the world)

Like they say in the property world - its location, location and location - you were certainly in the right location at the right time and you made good the opportunity - good job

Nice shot, and easy catch...))) no need of a camera, when you can just draw it...)))

it's a furnace in the sky, Allan!
no, it's not warm...it's hot...:)..and the beauty is amazingly cool, man.
colours are well defined here with shapes of the silhouettes nicely complement the dominant red sky. well done, Po.

Awesome shot! I love the strong colours and composition. You did a great job on your friend's point-and-shoot; and as you say, it just proves that it's the photographer who takes a great photo.
