When you are about to shoot something which would be of importance to you the balloon or quenching your thirst from long waiting at the entrance? .... I think I would go for the nice scene and later for your thirst.

I just shot this in Raw and played with the setting and converted the color

What a fantastic capture Cris!! Beautifully composed and set up, the colour conversion is very powerful. The shapes of the two balloons, especially the bottle-shaped one, are so striking but it's also the eerie silhouettes of the people on the ground that make this shot.
This is one of your best IMO
