[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
En route to Mt. Pinatubo (last eruption was 1991), we passed by this huge valley filled with volcanic sand and rocks(lahar once followed here). Our 4x4 trucks stopped in the middle of the valley for photo ops. I chose a composition that would emphasize how great the sky was that day and how "grand"/"vast" the landscape was.

Tech:
- CPL (with the sun on my back, I didn't have trouble exposing the sky and ground correctly, hence I didn't see the need for a GND filter. CPL was enough)
- slight levels adjustments

I drove past this area last July when I was in the Philippines, and wanted to explore the channels in the volcanic lahar, but time simply didn't permit.

Good composition, the low placement of the hill line and the big sky does give an excellent sense of scale and size.
