DELA CRUZ EATERY
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This is a street shot of children playing on the sidewalk by the patch-up-structure which is their home. Their home is supposed to have an "eatery" (too small to be called a restaurant)on the first floor. Identified as, "Dela Cruz Eatery", the signs are usually given free by the soft drink company.
This is typical in the city of Manila where children have no place to play in their illegal "squatter" homes. The streets then become their living area and playground.
It is cropped in a square format because I am readying it to be done into a watercolor painting.

Hello Andre,
Colorful and beautiful urban scene with good subject!
Congratulations and TFS.
Sergio
I love the scene; it reminds me of my own childhood growing up in Barbados. When we had nothing to do we would congregate close to the local grocer, who also sold candy. If we were lucky; he would bring out some for us. I love the colours and the composition; a great taste of real life.
