Honda Bay near Porto Princesa, & not a motorcycle in sight! Although not as stunning as El Nido, it is still a nice daytrip, if you have a spare day in town waiting for the northbound bus. Weather wasn't ideal but it was warm, no rain (& no snow & ice after departing Korea, it was almost heaven!) Snorkeling was okay too. Oh and this is a bangka or Filipino boat. Everyone gets to wear an orange life-vest & fill out a manifest, before leaving the harbor. I think this was Starfish Island? From Wikitravel:

"Honda Bay - consisting of several islets with beautiful beaches, Honda Bay is the place to go to for swimming, snorkeling as well as beach and island hopping. Accessible via the Sta. Lourdes wharf which is 25 minutes away from the city. Pumpboats at the wharf can be hired to take visitors to the various islets on the bay. Arrive before 11am to go island hopping if you require a small boat (1-5 people) and before 2.30pm if you require a larger boat."

Hi Chris,
This is a peaceful and colorful capture of this splendid view.
Beautiful panorama at the BG and such an interesting activity at the FG.
A nice reflection into the limpid shallow flower.
Well done for this neat work.
My regards,

Francis Xavier

Hello Chris,
It's a lovely scene you've taken from the landscape of Philippines. The Asiatic boats are usually longer and have balast on one or both sides. Perhaps dual hull vessel has been evolved from this idea, I don't know. However, your catch is beautiful in fine details and great colors. Well done. Thanks for sharing.
Best Wishes,
Inaam

P.S: Today I learnt from Jack McGrane's picture about "out of bound" technique, so I practiced on your post. I hope you wont mind :))

Hi Inaam,
I like this shot, the BG is awesome, colors nice If I could, I would not place the boat in the center... But, sometimes its OK not to use the rule odf 1/3...Best

Vic

The mood is immense in this dailylife shot with such lovely colors, Chris!
The sky is beautiful and the water colors are so eyecatching.
The sharpness and POV are well done, and light is delicately handled.
Good job!

Best wishes,
Paras

Hello Chris-

Beautiful shot with the colorful boat against the blue water. I was from this country originally but have never been to this place yet. I wish to be there sometime in the future as the urge to travel has gone up again. Thank you for posting this image, I really appreciate it.

Regards,

Rolando

I like the no wave sea here, the colors are amazing
Well done MF
Alireza

bonjour Chris
peaceful landscape with nice colours under a smooth and pleasant light
best regards

A nice view Chris - sharp and all the compositional elements are right! A CP would have brightened the colour and taken the reflection out of the water (for that classic floating boat look)

We were down in Palawan in March 2010 - a stunning island...
